Pocket Portfolio
Screen Shots
What is it?
Pocket Portfolio was written so that I could keep a track of my accounts, which are a mixture of normal bank accounts and stocks. I looked for an application that I could use on my phone and Palm, but none were suitable.
All the your account details are secure once logged on (well as secure as DES encryption is with an 8 character password), but you need to make sure that you remember the password as there is no way of getting the password back, you would have to reset the records which means losing your portfolio completely.
Really this application is a spread sheet that can get delayed prices for your stocks to give you an idea how wealthy or poor you are. The prices and charts for the UK version come from
yahoo uk
and
yahoo us
for the US version. I think it should work for other countries as well but I have not tried by changing the URL's in the Pref section to the appropriate yahoo web site. Without logging onto the application you can still perform a quick quote its just that you cannot see any of the account information that you previously setup.
If your phone support them you can get hold of a stocks price chart for today. This seems to work fine on my Palm pilot but doesn't on my phone...Not sure why, but by default the automatic displaying of charts is turned off, you have to either request them directly once you have a stock price returned or in the Settings section you can change the default setting and always return a chart.

Although I have tested this application as much as I can it may still have bugs in it. I expect no responsibility or liability for any damage that this application may cause. The data is not guaranteed to be accurate and may sometimes by unavailable. Its basically sold as seen.
